Krispy Kreme Is Making Peanut Butter Cup Doughnuts
Hold onto your taste buds because Krispy Kreme has created a heavenly new peanut butter-filled Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup doughnut.
There is a catch, however. Krispy Creme clearly forgot to unleash the new item in the U.S. The flavor was first introduced in the UK in 2015 and has just made its debut in Australia. How could the doughnut greats at Krispy Kreme forget to give peanut butter-loving Americans this joy?
Krispy Kreme teamed up with Reese’s to create this delicious hybrid. It features a Reese’s peanut butter sauce filling and is topped with chocolate icing, Reese’s peanut butter chips, vanilla cookie crumbs and chocolate drizzle.
Perhaps Krispy Kreme thinks America already has enough special flavors (I’m looking at you, Tiramisu). In the words of Veruca Salt from “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” “Don’t care how I want it now!”
There is a petition on Change.org for Krispy Kreme to give Americans the same peanut butter happiness as Australians. Currently, 223 people have signed and only 277 are needed to reach the goal of 500 signatures. This is how much we Americans love their peanut butter cups, Krispy Kreme!
At the moment, Krispy Kreme hasn’t given a date for possible release in the States. For now, we’ll have to get on a flight to taste the goodness of Krispy Kreme’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Doughnut.
